Jamie Joslin King-
Founder and Volleyball Mom
"I’ve spent the last 10 years building brands, educating, coaching, and mentoring leaders and businesses. I've helped over 2 dozen companies scale to 7 figures in revenue. My work has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and Success Magazine. I'm a former basketball and sand volleyball player, and I attribute my drive for greatness to my development in sports as a child. I was not able to afford club volleyball as a kid, but I'm grateful to have been able to pay for my daughter's passion and training in the game. I believe that through volleyball, we can raise the next generation of leaders and impact makers. "

HEAD OF YOUTH TRAINING
At 13, I was a pretty physically inactive theatre kid, until my Nana signed me up for a volleyball camp. I was hooked. I didn't make a great team my first year playing, but I kept practicing. Even though I started much later than my peers, I made a better and better team each year. I am an "undersized" hitter, and I got tired of coaches telling me I couldn't be a hitter, so I worked harder and jumped higher! I've been a junior assistant for my mom and high school coach the last 2 years, and I love coaching. I made a top club team in Louisville KY and varsity at Ballard High School. My goal is to play in college and pursue volleyball coaching as a profession. I don't know where I would be without this sport. I love it so much!

TO BREAK DOWN THE 3 MAIN BARRIERS THAT PREVENT KIDS FROM STARTING IN, AND STAYING IN THE GAME OF VOLLEYBALL.

HIGH COST OF TRAINING
VOLLEYBALL TRAINING COSTS CAN RANGE FROM $3000 TO $30,000 PER YEAR. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO FUND CLUB AND TRAINING FEES FOR KIDS WHO'S FAMILIES HAVE HAD TO SAY NO TO VOLLEYBALL BECAUSE OF COST.

LIMITED ACCESS
THE MAJORITY OF HIGH LEVEL TRAINING FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS ARE CENTERED IN WEALTHY SUBURBAN AREAS. KIDS IN URBAN AND RURAL AREAS OFTEN DRIVE HOURS TO PARTICIPATE IN CLUB VOLLEYBALL.

BETTER COACHING EDUCATION
COACHING KIDS IS MORE THAN TEACHING SKILL. WE WANT TO ENSURE COACHES AND FAMILIES HAVE MORE EDUCATION ON HOW TO GET THE BEST PERFORMANCE OUT OF THEIR TEAMS WHILE ALSO MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY SUPPORTING THEIR PLAYERS AS INDIVIDUALS.
